BRICS Summit

For the BRICS summit, I think writing our paper counted as part of it, because it required that we research and learn more, enabling us to discuss the problems.  Then the speakers wrote the speeches, and read them.  We discussed our solutions in small groups, created clauses, and brought them to bigger groups.  These groups decided on clauses to send to the entire BRICS summit and then we voted on which clauses were best.

It was weird collaborating with so many people because everyone criticizes everything you say, and also it was strange that the whole 6th grade was in one room for such a long period of time.

I think it was hard to decide on clauses, but voting for or against them was relatively easy.  A core value I saw happening a lot at the BRICS Summit was Risk Taker.  The representatives of each topic took risks presenting the clauses the topic groups decided on because even though the clauses could be disproved they stood up there confidently.

Learning about poverty at Graded is important because it helps our perspective improve, and it has us think about it longer, and that is more time to find a successful way to end poverty.
