Literature Circle Discussion Reflection and Analysis

Reflection

Hello!  In Literature Circles today, we had to something else.  We had to film ourselves!  Why?  Well, because my teacher said that she wanted to see how we discuss in the whole time, and she wanted us to see how we discuss in the third person.  I could have done a little better at opening the book to look for evidence.  Okay, a LOT better.  I don't think I really opened at all.  I did horrible at that.  But Camila did excelent at opening the book to look for evidence..  I couldn't see Clara that well, but I think she opened the book.  Peter added on to people's claims (and tried to disprove mine).

Analysis

I think we kinda messed up with the filming a little, Peter was half cut off of the screen.  We had a pretty good discussion.  A lot of claims, and a lot of argueing.  Arguing is good, because if you don't argue in a discussion, you won't learn anything about supporting your thinking.  And who knows?  Maybe you're wrong and just needed the right evidence to prove that you are wrong.

Literature Circle Discussion 6 Reflection and Analysis

Reflection

I think that in our literature circle discussion we did a bad job at staying on topic.  We started talking about the memory space on Camila's phone, and some other things I can't remember.  We did a good job at talking about different culture's way of doing a funeral, and the different Takunami rituals (passing the soche seche tente, funerals, marriage).  I think that we did a good job at picturing if something that happened to the characters.  For example, we know that Luka is getting married at 13.  We said that it would be weird if I was told that I was getting married the next day when i was THIRTEEN.  I mean reall, how scary and weird would that be!

Analysis

I think that it was a little different when Mr. Dunlop came and started talking to us.  He sat down to be part of the discussion, and put his foot in the way of the camera.  That was pretty funny.  That was true, but a little off topic.  Kind of like my discussion.  I really think that my group could do a lot better at staying on topic.
