For the final project in Humanities we wrote an argumentative piece about our opinion of the Three Gorges Dam. I personally am very bad at argumentative writing, so I got a bad grade , but here's what I was good.
One learning target I hit was "I can choose the best words to express my argument" LVL 4. This means that I had very clear vocabulary. Some words I chose to put were like instead of using 'big' or 'huge', I used colossal and, you know... stuff like that.
The other learning target I hit was "I can use correct capitalization, grammar and spelling to send a clear message to send to the reader" LVL 3. This one is actually pretty self-explanatory because it obviously means that I used grammar and spelling and punctuation right. I had minor errors that don't really harm my writing but are still there.
The other three learning targets I failed badly at like "I can write and develop an evidence-based claim", "I can support my claim with relevant evidence", and "I can organize my writing in a clear and coherent manner".
I grew by doing this because I learned how to choose words, better words like I explained up there^
