Explorer Simulation

?Hey guys!  We are learning about Native American tribes and European Explorers.  My teacher asked me to reflect on the following questions. 
A)  What is something that we talked about so far that you already knew?
1) Well, I did not know much about the Algonquin, but I kind of figured that they used spears.  My class already learned about the Inca and Aztec, so I already HAD to know something there.
B)  What is something new that you learned so far?
2) I learned the most awesome, coolest, most amazing thing ever.  THE ALGONQUIN MADE MAPLE SYRUP!!!!!!  Isn't that great?  They also made dream catchers and stuff out of birch bark.
C)  How did your "jigsaw" group work together as a team (when you filled out your Counsel Document?)
3) Well, we all knew about the Incas and Aztec but we helped each other with the other tribes.  We argued that the Iroquois were not the only tribe out of the five that believed in the Three Sisters.  Some of us knew about a different tribe and would fill someone else's tribe.

My teacher also said to when I'm are finished answering those questions, to think about this statement:
In 1492, the Americas were basically “empty” continents
waiting to be “discovered.”
What did I think about that?  Comment thoughtfully.
First of all the Americas were not empty, in fact, there were many people there.  And the Native Americans discovered the Americas.  And even then, there were animals before the Natives got there
When I am finished, I must read my "jigsaw group"'s posts and comment about them.

End of Charlotte Doyle

  Today my class finished reading Charlotte Doyle and I must say why I like the ending, what I expected, and how I would end it.

I like the ending because it's really ironic that in the beginning Charlotte was like: "I can't wait to get home." and "I hate this place, it's so dirty!"  But at the end she wanted to go back on the Seahawk, and hated her "home".

I expected Charlotte to kill Jaggery with the dirt dirk, and tell her parents everything, and her parents would be shocked, but they will except it.  Or Jaggery will survive and he would be taken to court and found guilty.

I would have ended it with Jaggery living to Providence.  I also would have him taken to court and found guilty of two murders.  I would make Charlotte's parent freak out when she told them of the journey and her siblings will be like "COOL!".

Claim-Argument-Counter Argument

So, pursuasive essays.  My teacher told the class we had to do another blog post.  So here it is.

We are making a pursuasive essay.  May claim is I Should be Picked up From School More




Claim:  First of all, the bus isn't as safe as my car.  There is a lot of bullying on the bus (trust me, I know).  And there  might be angry people in cars because the bus causes a lot of traffic.  Last, the bus is more difficult to control.

Argument;  But what if your mom or dad is busy or sick and does not come?

Counter argument;  I didn't say ALL the time.  I could always go on the bus sometimes.

Judge and Jury (Charlotte Doyle) Question B

Hello!!!  You might be confused if you are new to the blog.  But my teacher asked me to answer 1 of 2 questions.

A) Do you think the crew will remain loyal to Charlotte even after she has been accused of MURDER?

B) How do you feel about Zacharaiah reappearing in the story?  Do you think he will help Charlotte?

I will aswer question 2 so don't yell at me "BUT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QUESTION!!!!!!!!"  So here is my answer:       |

I think it is really cool that Zachariah is alive.  Because come on, it is bad if someone dies.  I think he will hope that Charlotte survives the trial.  But he won't, for the sake of the plan, help.

My First Post :D

Hello citizines of the world, and welcome to...

Eric's School Blog

Obviously  this a blog (by a 5th grade guy named Eric) about school.  Since it is a SCHOOL blog, you should only post stuff about SCHOOL, and not Minecraft.  I will try not to share personal info about me, such as my last name, many middle names, or the school I go to.  And remember this is a SCHOOL blog so you post stuff about SCHOOL, and not about that funny video.

With that said, I am supposed to say three things.  Well, actually answer 3 questions.

Q-1: What did you learn about what it means to be a responsible blogger?

A-1: I learned that in a blog  you do not share personal info unless it's a private blog.  I also learned that you do not indent in a blog, you do not center things (actually I'm going to fix the center problem right now.  Oops!), and you don't change fonts.

Q-2: How do you whether a post follows LARK guidelines?  Be sure to give specific examples.

A-1: If it does not have personal info - like my many names - , must be kind to others - like you should not say "There was this stupid kid at school and he told me to put my head in mud because he was dumb" - , you must not break laws - like suggesting that so-and-so should be fired - , or be inappropriate - I'm not explaining this one.  That would be awkward - .

Q-3: What information do you want to share with your readers? 

A-3: I want to share challenging problems.  I also want other people to send me difficult problems so other people could help them AFTER they hand it in.  I don't want them to cheat (but if they do, meh).  NO CHEATING PLZ.
